Autonomous region of Spain consisting of a group of 4 islands located in the Mediterranean Sea, Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. The capital city is Palma de Mallorca. The climate is mediterranean, the landscape is a variation of flat land for culture and dry mountains with olive trees. Tourism is an important source of incomes, the Balearic Islands receive over 12 millions tourists per year.
