The IBIT Foundation is a Non Profit Technological Centre founded in 1994. We are specialized in Information Society Technologies Our structure is owned by Telefonica, Balearic Islands Government and Regional Banking Institution.
We count with a permanent Staff of 42 people plus other 5 Our office is located in Balearic Islands. Our main technology areas are Intelligent Agents, mobile applications.
Main Objectives of IBIT:
"Act as Catalyst in the Balearic Islands for Information Society Technologies"
- Complement Technological offer from the Private Sector.
- Support enterprises in their Innovation initiatives.
- Support Public administration in ICT projects and activities.
- Collaborate with other similar organisations in Spain and Europe.
- Promote Information society concepts among Citizens ans enterprises.
Our business area have the aim:
- To incorporate private sector to IBIT Foundation projects.
- To carry out Dissemination activities jointly with intermédiate organisations.
- Become reference entities in the Innovation Networks where we participate.
We act as research Institutions to consolidate the co-operation in R+D projects with prestigious institutes and centres. We work with the Public administration to maintain the collaborations with PA and diversify the areas of co-operation and with citizens to develop dissemination actions in order to reach the whole society.
